That means that your One X2 is no competitor for the latest GoPro Hero or GoPro Max. While the video quality in Steady Cam is still decent, you can only get an equivalent of 2.7K video with a wide-angle lens. FPV Stabilization does work pretty well and it flows with the quad through all those moves. You can also use the Insta360 One X2 as a normal action camera. Have you tried doing a power loop with Flow State Stabilization? It totally gets into gimbal lock and flips around. It's a lame workaround, but it's worth knowing. Then you can use a standard video editor to rotate it back to 16:9. If you set the aspect ratio to 9x16 (tall) you can export the rotated image without cropping too much. On the phone app, you could fix it by rotating 90 degrees but you can't rotate on the computer software. When the Insta360 GO is mounted sideways and you use FPV Stabilization mode, then the video will come out rotate incorrectly. It is especially frustrating with the Beta95X V2 because the camera mounts sideways. However, the software does NOT let you rotate nor re-aim the shot the way you can on the phone app. If you connect the docking adapter to the computer by USB, then you can preview the videos and export them to a standard video format. The PC/Mac software is called "Insta360 Studio 2020". Mr Shutterbug Wrote:There is one more thing I would add regarding the Insta360 GO. So the limitations are pretty significant, but it does open up some unique opportunities so I think it has its place. The onboard storage is also quite limited so people will need to copy the videos onto a phone or computer frequently. You have to charge it right before using it, which is rather frustrating. Furthermore, the battery drains when it is turned off, so you can't just charge it up and throw it in your bag. I often land to discover that it had stopped recording part way through. I can only record about 3 flights on mine before the battery dies. It's a neat little camera and you did a great job of talking about all the pros and cons, but I think you undersold just how much of a limitation the battery life can be. It actually flew really well, and the video turned out pretty sweet (on my channel). Mr Shutterbug Wrote:Thanks for another great video! I recently flew the Insta360 GO on a 3-inch 1S and was pleasantly surprised. I think Mr Shutterbug's pinned comment in JB's review below are also a deal breaker, for me at least. Maybe I will take another look if/when they release a V2. Some of the more conservative flights I do where I'm not ragging the nuts off my quad can also go on for more than 5 minutes. I therefore think my Insta360 GO will most likely just end up going back to the vendor without me even having opened the box. I think the cons mentioned in both AndyRC's and Jon E5's videos below (which I only saw after I'd already made the purchase) have now made this camera less attractive for the purposes I intended to use it for, which is a shame. The original reviews I saw on the Insta360 GO raved about it with virtually nothing negative to say which is why I jumped in somewhat prematurely and bought one, but I now suspect that some of those videos might have been possible shills.
